Relationship Advice That Can Save (and light up!) Your Marriage
Men and women cheat in their relationships.
Sure, there are a few don’t, but most do, and they do so for largely the same reasons. But…
There are still major differences in the reasons that most women cheat, compared with men.
The most common reason that men cheat is ego. Sure, that’s not what they’ll write in a survey on the subject, because they don’t have that much self knowledge. They’ll say “sexual variety,” or just plain “lust,” and those reasons are very real, and very valid, and for some men those are the only reasons. But more common it’s a matter of self esteem and needing to know that they can. It’s a need for the validation hit of sexual conquest.
And these reasons are certainly true for women, but to a much lesser extent. Most women respond to anonymous surveys by saying, “sexual dissatisfaction.” But that’s not the entire truth either.
After doing more in depth interviews with women who cheat (and the men they cheated with), I learned some very surprising facts about why women cheat, and what triggers attraction in women (both within, and outside of their relationships).
